My name is Sarah Davis and I've been in the photography world for 10 years now. It has been such a rewarding path and I've been able to meet some incredible people along the way.

Specifically, I absolutely love wedding photography. As you will see throughout this site it is a huge passion of mine. Being asked to shoot a wedding is such a privilege and we often get so caught up in each event that we feel like part of the family!

Mission HQ

Sarah and I have been going back and forth on what to do for our next desktop computer. I’m tired of home builds as they prove to take away years of my life with the amount of stress it can cause. They’ve kicked my butt before. I’ve spent over an hour trouble shooting a new PC problem to find out my video card was toast. I’ve dealt with bad power supplies, DOA motherboards and bad sticks of RAM. I was ready this time around to take the easy way out and just purchase something prebuilt that came with a big fat warranty. I’m just tired of going to bed whimpering in the fetal position because the PC won’t even go to a POST screen.

We’ve been absolutely thrilled with our first Apple purchase (17″ MBP) and decided to take the jump and go with a new 27″ iMac. It’s beautiful. Love the crispiness of the display and it is silent as a mouse! My second to last home build PC had so many case fans it sounded like I was firing up some sort of aircraft. CS4 runs really well, Lightroom is snappier and the overall experience is great. Apple has a knack for good aesthetics. We couldn’t be happier.

Not that my awesome blue LED case fans weren’t pretty to look at…

We are ready to start the wedding season!

The Temple for Performing Arts Des Moines, IA :: FREE SHOOT!

We shot some 400+ photographs during our 4 hour stay at the Temple for Performing Arts. We had asked for any interested couples that wouldn’t mind hanging out for a few hours while we experimented with some different shots. The end result was a gaggle of great photos! We had two couples volunteer their Saturday afternoon for some fun in front of the camera. First up is Jared and Nettie! They were hilarious and so comfortable in front of the camera that we didn’t need to give a whole lot of posing direction! Enjoy!

For some reason the shot below reminds me of the Princess Bride.

Second couple was Riana and Justin. They were actually married at the Temple not too long ago and were pro’s! There isn’t anything we love more than photograhing the wonderful chemistry that goes on between couples. My favorite photographs are ones that seem like they don’t even know a picture is being taken. Lots of those in here! Thanks to both couples for their time and patience! We are going to do this again sometime and we’ll be looking for more volunteers!
